MINDFULNESS AND MORE: HELPING STUDENTS PREPARE FOR THE SAT

SAT scores are often used by colleges to determine acceptance. However SAT scores are not always an accurate measurement of your potentials as a student. SAT tests put you under pressure to finish within a certain time period. For some students this added pressure creates fear, anxiety and lowered performance.
Veteran Math Teacher and Peak Performance Coach Lawrence Carroll will be leading students and educators in a concentrated two-part workshop that will explore techniques of mindfulness and brain integration. Practicing these techniques can help students manage stress, improve focus and retain information more easily.
